His wife, Kayla Ewell, is an actress who actually starred on the CBS soap herself, years before he even arrived in Los Angeles.
Where It All Began
Longtime Bold and the Beautiful fans will remember Ewell for her role as Caitlin Ramírez, who graced the screens back in the early 2000s.
But it was years later, in 2010, that she met her future husband, Novlan, on the set of Sick Puppies’ music video for their hit song, “Maybe.” Both actors were cast in the video, with Novlan playing a mechanic and Ewell a waitress, both seemingly disillusioned with their lives. The video features them quitting their jobs and taking off on a road trip, a journey that ultimately leads them both to Venice Beach, a significant location for their real-life love story.
Just like in the video, their paths crossed on the beach, marking the beginning of a love that was meant to be.
Real-Life Romance
After years of dating, Novlan popped the question in 2015, and Ewell, of course, said yes. “I got lucky,” he shared on social media, alongside a picture of his future bride showing off her stunning diamond ring.
