Sad Newsđ! Bold and the Beautifulâs Jennifer Gareis Shares Tragic California Wildfire Update
No one was safe from the Pacific Palisades fire, including Jennifer Gareis, who reassured her fans that while her house was gone, she and her family were safe.
The awful Los Angeles wildfire has unfortunately struck the homes of several soap stars. Among them was General Hospitalâs Cameron Mathison who lost his family home to the terrible wildfire. Now comes word that while she and her family are safe, The Bold and the Beautifulâs Jennifer Gareis has also lost her home, as the tragedy continues to roll on unstopped.
It Came as a Shock
With a couple of photos of herself at the beach, and then what looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Gareis (Donna) wrote on Instagram, âI had no idea this past weekend was my last beach walk and sunset in MalibuâŠat least until we can rebuild the community after this devastating fire.â
She continued by expressing her gratitude and reassuring fans: âThank you for your messages. Our home is gone (see picture #3) but we are safe. I pray for all of the families who have lost their homes and memories. Stay safe! #malibufire #pchfire #malibubeach #palisadesfire.â Co-star Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter) responded, âIâm so sorry đđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸđđŸđđđđ.â
The Soap World Reacted Lovingly
Supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk responded with, âGlad youâre safe. Nothing will ever change those amazing memories. đ.â Several castmates chimed in, including Rebecca Budig (Taylor) who wrote, âI am so sorry Jennifer. Devastating.â And Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) replied, âIâm so sorry Jen. Heartbreaking đ.â

Stars from other shows also commented, with The Young and The Restlessâ Melissia Ordway (Abby) sending crying and heart emojis, her co-star Courtney Hope (Sally) writing, âIâm so sorry đ Iâm glad youâre safe â€ïž,â and Kate Linder (Esther) lovingly reacting: âI am so very, very sorry! Thank goodness that you and your family are safe! My heart and love are with you!â Days of Our Livesâ Tamara Braun (Ava) also replied, âMy heart is with you and your family. Iâm so sorry sweetheart.â
Even superstar producer and creator of the new soap Beyond the Gates, Michele Val Jean, expressed her concern by writing, âOh, no. Jennifer. Iâm so sorry. But Iâm glad youâre safe. Sending you so much love â€ïžâ€ïž.â
Gareis also shared another update on Instagram. She included several quotes about light and darkness.

I am breathing⊠slow and deliberate breaths⊠I am calm. I know Iâll make new memories here in the years to come. In the meantime, Iâll cherish the old ones & hold my family & friends even closer.
