What Happens To Sam’s Kids If She Dies on General Hospital?

News of Kelly Monaco’s firing from General Hospital has made fans think that Sam must not be long for this world. Dante will be fine if she dies. Lulu is bound to come out of her coma any minute now and be reunited with him and her kids, Charlotte and Rocco. But what about Sam’s children, Danny and Scout? Who will take care of them if their mom isn’t around?

Daddy Day Care

Sure, Danny and Scout have dads. They’re both even in town. But Drew (Cameron Mathison) was willing to go to jail indefinitely and be separated from Scout to protect Carly (Laura Wright), and Jason (Steve Burton) was willing to be thought dead and stay away from his kids for YEARS to protect Carly.

Our point is that their children are not either Drew or Jason’s first priorities. Sure, they could take them on if Sam dies. But what happens the next time Carly needs them to throw themselves under a bus for her? What then?

Once Removed

Sam’s sister, Molly, has been desperate for a child. She is so desperate that she still can’t forgive her sister for losing the baby she was carrying for her as if Kristina (Kate Mansi) did it on purpose! Molly wants to be a mom so badly. How about taking in Danny and Scout? But why do we suspect that Molly didn’t want to parent as much as she wanted to say she was a parent? And being an aunt responsible for a teen and pre-teen just doesn’t provide the same benefits. Maybe they could stay with Dante. But will Lulu enjoy having her predecessor’s kids in her home? They would make a nice obstacle to a reunion with Dante…

The Greatest Generation

The kids have grandparents, too. Alas, Sam’s mom, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), is in prison at the moment, so she is not the best guardian material. This just leaves Monica (Leslie Charleson). Have the kids of Port Charles already lived in her house, including Leo, Wylie, Violet, and Gio? Why not Danny and Scout…for good?
